The NYSC year remains one of the most important rites of passage for lots of Nigerian graduates – the year we cross over into national service and a new phase in our lives. As the mobilization continues, one query that is bothering the minds of PCMs is always about the camp dates. For the 2015 batch of the NYSC Batch ‘A’ Stream II, their calls up dates have been effectively released and released which means it is time for their service.
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has confirmed the commencement of the 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream II orientation course across the country on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. Thus begins the challenging, yet rewarding, three-week program that equips grads with the knowledge and insights they need before they begin their service year.

What You Can Expect and what you should do…
The orientation camp is an integral part of the NYSC program, and combines aspects of semi-military training, data acquisition and social activities, with an overall emphasis on patriotism, nation-building, self-reliance and talent-development.
Here are some important things corps members should know before arriving at camp:
Read Your Call-up Letter Well: Everything you need to know is in this letter. It shows your state of deployment, camp address, date to report to camp among others. Soak it all in.
Pack properly: Your packing list needs to cover these two areas: for your paramilitary drill and for you to be comfortable. Consider white T-shirts, shorts, sneakers, toiletries, medication, a sturdy padlock and a couple of casual outfits. Keep in mind: You’re going to be in a camp environment for three weeks.
Collect your documents: Make sure you will bring them in originals and a bunch of copies. That usually includes your school ID card, result statement or certificate, call-up letter, passport photographs, and medical fitness certificate. International passport is also necessay for graduates trained abroad.
Stay Updated: NYSC always current its official site and social media handle. Monitor these conduits often as there may be some last minute changes or added instructions. Do not depend on so many unauthenticated sources.
Enjoy it: Your NYSC camp is a once in a lifetime chance to meet variety of people, learn lots of interesting things, and serve your fatherland. Try it with an open mind and positive attitude.
A Note on Flexibility
As much as the date is official, you should also note that there could still be few changes in the NYSC timetable, as time goes on due to some unforeseen events. But if its something really big, that information is reportedly made available to the public via official means of communication.
